Regardless of the size of your organisation, it is essential to understand if your employees are engaged and to give them the opportunity to have their voice heard. A more engaged workforce will lead to higher productivity, higher profits, lower turnover, lower sick absence rate and in turn improved commercial performance.

Based on our Founder’s (Lord Mark Price) 34 years experience within the John Lewis Partnership and input from psychologists, existing practice and academic research, the Six Steps are the key drivers of employee engagement and workplace happiness. Workplace happiness is derived from a sense of ownership and control and feeling optimistic about the environment in which you work. The Six Steps scores stem from the average data of 20 core questions in your organisation survey.

Scores between 80% and 100% will be marked in green, highlighting that this area/question has an excellent score, and current systems in place should be maintained and replicated within the organisation.

Scores between 70% and 79% will be marked in green, highlighting that this area/question has a good score.

Scores between 60% and 69% will be marked in amber, highlighting that improvement is advised for this area/question.

Scores between 30% and 59% will be marked in red, highlighting that improvement is recommended for this area/question.

Scores between 0% and 29% will be marked in red, highlighting that improvement is required for this area/question.

They are a visual representation of the story your data tells – they help identify unique needs & characteristics of your employee segments. The nine matrices are based on a selection of two or more of the core questions. The matrices give information on Job satisfaction; Organisational Satisfaction; Mental Health Well-Being; Career development; Inclusiveness; Empowerment; Sense Of Purpose; Line Manager Relationship; Workplace Environment.

Our surveys are completely anonymous, an individual cannot be identified. Survey results will only show if 5 or more people have responded.

Data from your organisation, especially if you have a large employee group, can appear quite overwhelming. We recommend starting from an overall perspective and then narrowing down by slicing and dicing your data with filters. For example, if you notice managers score lower than the average, you can then look further into the business groups, age-range and length of service. It is better to investigate in parts than add all filters at once.

We have the world’s largest database on employee sentiment, with data on over 85,000 organisations. On your dashboard you can easily and quickly compare different business units using the filter and comparison functionality. Contact support@workl.com for help and to request data from a specific competitor set.

To better understand your data our team can can offer dashboard walk throughs and training on how to get the best out of the dashboard. We can also offer consultancy and training, with a half-day or full-day pricing package to best fit your needs. To find out more about the support we can offer and to discuss your organisation’s requirements please contact support@workl.com.
