WorkL launches Cultex platform to match candidates to roles & culture

WorkL, today announces the launch of Cultex, a pioneering platform designed to transform how organisations recruit, retain and develop employees in order to help individuals find the right job to be happy in.

The launch comes as data from WorkL shows that 49% of employees are unhappy at work and nearly one in five plan to leave their organisation within the next nine months. The platform has been designed in conjunction with academics and business leaders from City University, Kings College London, the CIPD and CMI, as well as Jonathan Black, Director of the Career Services at the University of Oxford.

WorkL has made it its mission to revolutionise workplace happiness over the last seven years, most recently with the launch of The Work Happiness Charter, the world’s first groundbreaking manifesto that aims to make happiness at work a universal right. Cultex is the next step in its mission, offering a unique approach to matching candidates with the right roles and workplace cultures.

For businesses, Cultex empowers employers to make smarter recruitment and retention decisions. Using a 20-question survey developed by academics, business leaders and HR experts, Cultex assesses candidates across five areas including education, working preferences, interests, skills and values. Each candidate receives a unique Cultex code, which is then matched against an organisation’s code to determine cultural, technical and experiential fit.

This innovative process helps businesses drastically reduce flight risk, turnover and absenteeism, improve job satisfaction, recognition and engagement and access a pool of over 250,000 active job seekers, matched to their specific needs. By integrating Cultex with WorkL’s engagement surveys, organisations can also measure return on investment, benchmark performance against competitors and identify cost-saving opportunities.

For individuals, Cultex supports job seekers directly. By completing the Cultex test, individuals gain personalised insights into their own strengths, preferences and values, enabling them to find jobs in organisations where they are most likely to feel happy and fulfilled. Alongside career development tools, mentoring and networking opportunities, Cultex provides a clearer path to long-term workplace happiness.

Lord Mark Price, Founder of WorkL, comments on the launch:

“Cultex is a game-changer for both organisations and individuals. By focusing on cultural, technical and experiential fit, we’re helping businesses hire the right people and at the same time helping job seekers find roles where they can truly thrive. The result is greater productivity, reduced turnover, and, most importantly, happier workplaces and employees.”
